Just wanted to throw this post up so that everybody knows that I am head for Afghanistan next friday on the 14th. I will be headed somewhere in the Helmand Province but I do not know where. Sara and Jef hosted Thanksgiving in their new home this year. Grandma from Ohio (Barbara) and Uncle Ike joined them and other friends. Looks like Sara makes a mean turkey!
I know a lot of you live in parts of the country where you see weather changes rather more dramatically than in LA. Claire took these pictures from her hilltop home just before we had our first thunderstorm of our paltry rainy season. Rarely do we see rain before November. We’ll see what the new season brings this year.
